What if the ship is late arriving or there is some other problem with timing?
As part of the booking process we asked for your email at sea, or your mobile telephone number. If there is any change with the timing from the information provided on your email confirmation, we will email and/or text you straight away. The more contact information we have the better.

How do we return to the ship from Te Papa Museum by ourselves?
If you have finished your visit to Te Papa Museum there are three ways to return to the ship.
1. Walk from Te Papa Museum. This takes about 30-40 minutes for most people and is a flat walk around the waterfront connecting to the footpath at Waterloo Quay. We will provide you with a map showing you the route.
2. Taxi from Te Papa Museum. There is a taxi stand directly outside the entrance of the Museum and there is usually a taxi available. If not, visit the staff member at the coat and bag check counter who will help you. Taxi fare from Te Papa Museum to the cruise terminal at Aotea Quay is about $15-20 NZ and a standard taxi can accommodate 4 passengers.
3. Cruise ship shuttles operate on a standard route via Brandon Street, just off Lambton Quay. Occasionally cruise ship shuttles make an additional stop at Te Papa Museum, but only for a small number of sailings. Please don't rely on this option unless you have been informed onboard that this is definitely the case.
For the majority of sailings it is a 10-15 minute walk to the shuttle stop at Brandon Street. We will provide you with a map showing you Brandon Street.
Why is there one price for all ages?
We recognise that a quality tour at a great price has been hard to find in Wellington, and that is our mission. To do this, and ensure we make a fair living, the price is the same for one and all. Even if you are travelling with seniors or youngsters, for $60 NZD it is remarkably good value, especially for a hosted tour by a seasoned professional.
Are seatbelts provided? Do we have to wear them?
Seatbelts are provided in our van and as a commerical passenger vehicle, there is no obligation to wear them, but we strongly recommend it.
I am not on a cruise ship, can I still book the tour?
If a tour is running on a day when you are in the city, then yes, we will take your booking based on a pick up and drop off in central city locations which form part of our tour. We are happy to arrange that with you, email firstname.lastname@example.org

We like to keep it simple, so there are only three major booking requirements.
By booking with us guests accept the following conditions:
We ask all guests to be at the meeting location as shown on your confirmation at the time stated. We allow an additional 15 minutes for guests to meet us there. The tour will commence no later than 15 minutes after the departure time stated on your booking confirmation. We are unable to hold up the tour after this time waiting for guests. Guests who do not check in with us during the 15 minute meeting period will forfeit the full cost of the tour. Please see the Cancellation Policy below.
Guests are soley responsible for returning to the ship in time for the ship's departure if they conclude the tour at any location other than at the cruise ship terminal.
Guest cancellations up to 72 hours prior to the arrival of the ship (or 'no show' on the day based on the booking condition above) will forfeit 100% of the cost of the tour. The period between 72 hours to 7 days prior to the ship's arrival in port will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the tour cost, with the remainder to be refunded to guests. A full refund is given for cancellations of more than 7 days in advance of the ship's arrival in Wellington.
If a ship fails to berth on the date given, or a later time when we are unable to provide a tour to fit in with our availability, or a seriously shortened duration in port, then a full 100% refund will be provided to booked guests.
